11 Year-Old's Bike Stolen from right under his nose

Hello. I am a stay-at-home dad of 3 children and we are a single income family. We moved to Alcona four years ago and love our street, Alcona Glen Elementary School, and the community as a whole. On Sunday, May 11, at approximately 11AM my sons bike was stolen from Crossroads Park (Jans/Benson). My son and his friend were playing in the park and both of their bikes were stolen. We received a small Income tax refund and bought our son this bike, as he always stays out of trouble and is an exemplary student consistently receiving the Principal's Award for academic excellence. He had his bike for less than 24 hours and this happened. He is devastated. I'm writing this letter in hopes that perhaps the person who stole this bike has a conscious. The bike cost us 129.99 and might not be a lot of money to some people but it is to us. If you are a parent whose child has recently come home with a brand new CCM 24" Nitro X then there is a good chance that this is his bike. We filed a report with the police but we are also well aware of the statistics regarding recovering stolen bikes. Included is a picture. If you have any information that could help us in returning this bike to my son please contact South Simcoe Police. Thank you.
