Midland man facing charges
MIDLAND – A man faces aggravated assault and weapons charges after another man was seriously injured in a Nov. 1 incident.
Midland police were called by paramedics to an east-side residence about a man being treated for serious injuries.
Officers were told the man and his girlfriend had gone there and he had become involved in an altercation with two other men.
The man was struck on the head and in the face with a metal object, police said. He was taken to Georgian Bay General Hospital for treatment.
On Nov. 6 a man turned himself in to police. A 47-year-old Midland man was arrested, charged and held for a bail hearing.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
